A great deal of human suffering comes from our unwillingness to observe without identifying.
By identifying with/as our observations, we become inseparable from our thoughts, feelings, and desires — we lose our understanding of self as a vessel and become attached to life’s temporary sensations.
To observe is to perceive. Whether the object of your perception is the state of global affairs, a strained friendship, or a flat tire on your way to work, there remains an important truth amidst it all:
We too often identify with what we observe, when not only are we not what we observe, but we’re not even the subsequent thoughts or emotions we experience from observing them!
For example, because we are empathetic beings living in interconnected harmony, the state of global affairs might stress us out. Still, that is not to say that we are the state of global affairs, just as we’re not the stress we feel when thinking about the state of global affairs.
By embodying this realization, we can observe the Universe with total freedom, unafraid of what we may discover.
The same goes for any thoughts or feelings you experience along your manifestation journey. It is perfectly fine to feel things like anxiety or discouragement…
Because your feelings are not you and you are not your feelings.
You are an energetic vessel of the Universe. Your thoughts are temporary concepts that pass through you and your emotions are fleeting sensations that pass through you. Your spirit is the only true identity you’ll ever have or need.
And live fully in the present as vessels for divine creativity.
